Marsotto’s key designers over the past 5 years – namely Studio Irvine, Jasper Morrison, Konstantin Grcic, Naoto Fukasawa and Ross Lovegrove, and now Philippe Nigro – have interpreted the “Working with Marble” concept with absolute originality, designing fresh and innovative objects to fit the necessities of contemporary work life.

Berlin-based French artist Kader Attia fills one of the cavernous spaces in Cockatoo Island’s Turbine Hall with a 312-square-metre patchwork of corrugated iron and scrap roofing materials. The series of shanty town roofs collected by the artist, reflecting the conditions in which the majority of the world’s population lives, are installed at different angles to make a 350-square-metre patchwork of corrugated iron, satellite dishes and other scrap materials.
This year, Aisin ( 4th year in a row participating in the Salone ) returned to its origins with an exhibition titled “The Next Frontier in Mobility” – which expresses the aspiration of Aisin to inaugurate a new era of mobility, pioneering a new relationship between man and car.
