Blurred Rooms @ Salone Milan 2019

Blurred Rooms is a mutable exhibition scenario that plays with the visual perception of space and intimate desire for discovery.

The new upcoming collections, concealed by opaline filters, at first appear as blurred an indistinct silhouettes and then promptly unveil in their entirety.

By focusing on individual and collective curiosity, the exhibition is a spontaneous experience of surprise.

Paola C. presents two new tableware collections and an expansion of an existing range

  • The Society Collection by Neri & Hu
  • Fun-tional Table by Jaime Hayon
  • Sciia Glasses by (a+b) dominoni, quaquaro

The Society Collection

by Neri & Hu

Drawing on the idea of creating objects that can encourage the encounter between people, the Society is a collection of functional pieces that celebrate the conviviality of the table.

The pieces of the collection, like the members of the same family, have their own distinctive trait while maintaining a certain material and chromatic affinity.

Simple geometries, enriched by the warm colors of glass and metals, evoke a slight sense of nostalgia while offering a whimsical and extravagant character.

Fun-tional Table

by Jaime Hayon

A fantastical collection of surreal and imaginative tableware objects brings joy to every table.

Each element, designed to support and liven up the table experience, is crafted with sophisticated metalworking.

Even the smallest details become grandiose gestures, thanks to Hayon’s unique style which blends quality with functionality, sealed by Paola C.’s care and passion for excellence.

About (a+b) dominoni, quaquaro

(a+b) dominoni, quaquaro founded in 2011 by Annalisa Dominoni and Benedetto Quaquaro, is a studio that does both research and design, collaborating frequently with universities and space agencies.

Annalisa and Benedetto’s curiosity and desire lead them, despite their differing backgrounds, to realizing projects in various sectors and with clients of differing needs.

From space to fashion, to the trains of Milan’s underground.
