Magicians of the Mist @ Vivid Sydney 2017

Magicians of the Mist @ Vivid Sydney 2017

Now in its ninth year and one of Sydney’s most popular winter events, Vivid Sydney again wowed the city with multimedia light shows, music, art, talks and ideas.

Vivid Sydney returned to Darling Harbour Precinct in 2017 with activities and events to engage audiences of all ages.

The Darling Harbour precinct is the setting for one of the most thrilling spectacles of Vivid Sydney 2017, the astonishing and technologically advanced Magicians of the Mist by Oracle-Liquid & The Electric Canvas, with fireworks displays on Friday and Saturday nights at 7pm and 8:30pm

Magicians of the Mist includes fantastical fountains, flame jets, lasers, music, fireworks and walls of water show the power of creativity and innovation in this spectacular projection.

Magicians of the Mist came together through a passionate collaboration between artists and composers, engineers, a ‘fountaineer’, pyrotechnicians and other leaders in their fields.

This extraordinary work straddles the blurred line between art and technology that defines the digital era, celebrating the power of creativity and innovation

Magicians of the Mist shows are every half hour from 6pm – 11pm every night, with fireworks at 7pm and 8.30pm on Friday and Saturday.

Lasers, fountains, jets of flame, music, fireballs and more! See 'Magicians of the Mist' at Darling Harbour, Sydney every half hour from 6pm – 11pm every night, with fireworks at 7pm and 8.30pm on Friday and Saturday. Ends 17 June. #vividsydney

Lasers, fountains, jets of flame, music, fireworks, fireballs, LEDs and searchlights are all controlled through a computer interface in the hands of a master fountaineer and laser artist.

This extraordinary work blurs the line between art and technology that now defines the digital era: 12 massive pumps throw 28 tonnes of water into the air every minute; huge projections shine on walls of water 60 metres wide and 40 metres high.

Fountains up to 50 metres high swing and sway gently, sometimes furiously displaying more than three times the power of any fountain previously deployed in Darling Harbour.

Special nozzles change their shape and that of the fountains, creating the tallest fountains in the world which display this range of movement.

Vivid Sydney night 2! So many favorite parts of our shows….here's one of them with fireworks from @fotifireworks @oracle_liquid #darlingharbour #cityofsydney #fireworks #fountainshow #magiciansofthemist #sydney #vividsydney @vividsydney @darlingharbour #visitnsw #lasers #destinationnsw

I was at this show last night and they played really intense almost deep house orchestra. Could any one tell me where I can find that music or who the artist was. What an incredible show!
