Salone Milan 2010 – Tom Dixon’s Avatar goes 3D Virtual

Tom Dixon goes 3D.

Virtual Milan is a virtual scene that allows online viewers from anywhere in the world to experience the Tom Dixon stand at Superstudio Piu, Milan.

By navigating an avatar of their choice, viewers are able to explore all the elements of the stand as if they were actually at the exhibition. An avatar of Tom has been created exclusively for the duration of the show. Interactive information icons reveal information on the products from the new collection, Industry, as shown on the stand.

Wandering visitors to the Milan stand, and online viewers with webcams, are instantaneously projected onto a TV screen within the virtual scene. Visitors at the exhibition are also able to experience Virtual Milan through a dedicated screen and 3D glasses provided at the stand.

To participate in Virtual Milan online, register and login from 13th April at: http://www.3dvia.com/scenes/E43CC5DAECFED0E2

Virtual Milan is sponsored by Design Bar and powered by 3DVIA Technology from Dassault Systemes.
