The Manzoni,is a restaurant that doubles as a permanent showroom in the heart of the city.

Tom Dixon has relocated his head office, showroom and retail space from Ladbroke Grove ( West London ) further along the Regents Canal, to the new 1,600 sqm complex on Regent’s Canal and Granary Square, with the vision that it will become a creative hub for the broader design community.

A new elevated park, Bagley Walk, similar to the Highline in New York, runs along the front of the building connecting Granary Square and Gasholder Park.

Renamed from the ‘Brasserie at Publicis Drugstore’; a renowned Parisian hot spot for more than 60 years, the new restaurant is located on the ground floor of the Publicis shopping complex.

Opened earlier this month to coincide with the city’s NYC x Design festival, the new Tom Dixon Soho / Manhattan outpost forms the “USA East Coast hub” for the brand, complimenting the existing store in Los Angeles.

The late 19th century showroom at 25 Greene Street, Soho, New York now showcases Tom Dixon’s rapidly expanding catalogue of lighting, furniture and home accessories in a generous 625 sqm twin floor retail store setting

The office and co-working space infrastructure, designed by the award-winning workplace architects Barr Gazetas, are focused on true community working through expert curation of complex floor plans and space use.

The new spaces offer high quality fit-out and technology services, with the interior designs provided by the acclaimed British designer Tom Dixon and his Design Research Studio whose past work includes Shoreditch House and the Mondrian Hotel, London.

This is the first time that DRS and Tom Dixon have designed a co-working environment.

Ikea Australia and the University of Technology Sydney collaborated to open the Tom Dixon designed Delaktig bed-sofa collection up to Interior and Product design students from UTS, challenging them to personalise the range to reflect life at home in Australia.

Eight students ( 4 x product design students & 4 x interior design students) were selected to take part in the Workshop which was mentored by Ikea’s Interior Design team together with the UTS Design Lecturers

Last month Tom Dixon made a quick stop in Hong Kong to introduce a new line of limited edition wares dubbed as his “Factory” line pieces made right in the Tom Dixon Hong Kong showroom

The first product from the “Tom Dixon Factory” were Limited Edition laser cut stainless steel sheets that are semi-easy to fold and lock together to create an iconic pendant light.
