Dedece Skyscraper Project
The fourth in the series of ” Dedece & Vola Celebrates ” was held at dedece’s Sydney showroom on Mon 22nd Sept, 2014
Previously Dedece together with Vola, had celebrated renowned Australian architects – (1) Glenn Murcutt, (2) Kerry Hill and (3) Alex Popov
This time around, Dedece together with Vola, and Artichoke magazine organised an intimate dinner for Sue Carr – to celebrate the career of one of Australia’s most successful and prolific Interior Designers.
Sue was honoured for her significant contribution to the advancement of modernist Interior Design and her ongoing Architectural interactions in Australia.
Tom Dixon‘s 2014 accessories collection is inspired by the industrial qualities of engineering, with a beautiful play on industrial machine parts, utilising semi-precious materials like brass, copper and glass.
Famed for his previous collection of furniture, lighting and accessories, Tom Dixon’s accessories collection shows his continued talent to produce innovative and interesting design that deals with every day objects and the pursuit to reinvent them in a beautifully resolved design.
Marking Knoll Luxe’s 10th year anniversary, Knoll Textiles released the innovative and striking Atmosphere wallpaper and Intertwine fabric collections
Selections from each collection are incorporated into a larger than life display of flowers, plants and creatures made exclusively with Knoll Textiles products.
Kitchens & Invaders at the Museum of Design in the Triennale di Milan, tells of the gradual but inexorable mutation of kitchen utensils into machines and robots.
It takes its inspiration from the science-fiction novel The Body Snatchers, written by Jack Finneyin 1955, and from the film based on the book and directed by Don Siegel. Both have come to be seen as bringing about a break and a transformation in the collective imagination
