The fourth in the series of ” Dedece & Vola Celebrates ” was held at dedece’s Sydney showroom on Mon 22nd Sept, 2014
Previously Dedece together with Vola, had celebrated renowned Australian architects – (1) Glenn Murcutt, (2) Kerry Hill and (3) Alex Popov
This time around, Dedece together with Vola, and Artichoke magazine organised an intimate dinner for Sue Carr – to celebrate the career of one of Australia’s most successful and prolific Interior Designers.
Sue was honoured for her significant contribution to the advancement of modernist Interior Design and her ongoing Architectural interactions in Australia.
Giuseppe Picone became a well-known name in Italy in the 1950s, then an international phenomenon in the 1960s.
When artist, ceramist, textile designer and fashion designer Giuseppe Picone died in 2008, he left behind a precious gift to Italian craft history
Picone’s invaluable artistic legacy and many contributions were key in defining the “Made in Italy” generation.
Belgian furniture maker Maarten Van Severen devoted himself to the rigorous exploration of basic furniture typologies and in the process developed a formal language of uncompromising simplicity and beauty.
Maarten who died from cancer in 2005, aged 48, left behind an extraordinary collection of furniture and several important architectural projects.
