Dedece Skyscraper Project
Since 1938, Knoll has been recognized internationally for creating workplace and residential furnishings that inspire, evolve and endure.
To mark this 75th anniversary achievement, Dedece asked George Freedman ( renowned Sydney interior designer) to curate a new showroom presentation, featuring Knoll’s iconic and new residential and workplace designs, reflecting its rich design heritage of furniture, textiles and accessories whilst being grounded in clarity of form and honesty in materials.
1960. The eyes of the world were watching Italy. And those eyes were full of admiration, creativity, ideas, innovation. Desires to dream and to create.
The most brilliant and awarded designers got to work.and in less than ten years they designed radios and TVs different from any other before or after.
Finally exciting shapes , colours, industrial design with strong personalities …. all dedicated to lovers of beauty.
The set designs proposed by Brit Tom Dixon during Milan Design Week are always stunning
So now in 2015, Tom has launched his latest collections in a unique interactive entertainment show at ” The Cinema ” – in the abandoned theatre of the Casa dell’Opera Nazionale Balillain the heart of Milan city.
Tom transformed the derelict theatre with a headline presentation, calling on the building’s historic roots of a 1970s cinema to highlight his latest designs through a series of installations.
