In a departure from design related posts, here’s a fun collaboration between Netherlands based company Hans Boodt and lifestyle store Garage Italia, which is the creation of Lapo Elkann, launched during Milan Salone 2018.

A capsule collection of designer mannequins dedicated to the world of cars and Italy.

Garage Italia is a store and lifestyle experience that is focused on pushing complete personalisation from tailored clothes to tailored cars to a Michelin Star dining experiences (the retail space even has a Ferrari simulator for visitors to enjoy).

In the past Garage Italia has joined forces with companies such as Cassina and Unopiu.

The collection of seven mannequins is inspired by the world of cars and Italian style.

Among these, there is the Crash Test Dummy- most linked to the racing world which was developed in carbon, or the most classical of designs dedicated to the tailor.

Other techinical advancements in the world of the Hans Boodt includes a thermo-sensitive mannequin, which in normal conditions is black, but becomes white with heat.

The capsule collection was presented in the new Hans Boodt showroom.

The new showroom space is 800 square meters over two floors.

“We Got It Covered”, is the newest  project of Hans Boodt that focuses on extreme customisation of mannequins through a complete offer of materials, shapes, fabrics and colors.
