Sea Containers House has now become the location for the new 359-bed luxury hotel under Morgans Hotel Group’s Mondrian brand.
The buildings’ maritime history was used as the starting point of the interiors concept for the hotel, which “embodies the elegance of a transatlantic 1920s liner”
For the OK Go Needing Getting music video a car, outfitted with numerous pneumatic arms and devices, is driven through a specially-designed course by the band’s lead singer Damian Kulash, with the other band members as passengers.
During the course, the cars’ arms strike at various musical instruments aligned on the sides of the 2 mile long Los Angeles dessert – including pianos, guitars, glass jars, and plastic drums – the arrangement and tuning of these instruments create the melody of the song as the car drives by them.
