Etienne de Crecy @ Matter, London

“Beats & Cubes” 2009 show at the Matter London ( which is a three floor, 2600 capacity venue at The O2. Committed to innovation with a passionate and eclectic music policy.)

Time Out said  >  “Uh-oh, this one’s big! The French house pioneer De Crecy steps into his blinding Cube creation for a rundown through his jackin’ and soulful back catalogue as the visuals blink like crazy for the first time on these waters.”  It happened in 2009 – but it is still an amazing show to see !!

Étienne de Crécy was born in Lyon on 7 April 1969. He moved to Versailles from Marseille in the mid 80’s, attending the same Jules Ferry college as Air and Alex Gopher, with whom he later created the ‘Solid’ label. He then worked in Paris as a sound engineer at studio +XXX (plus thirty) where he met Philippe Zdar of Cassius, with whom he worked on the Motorbass album, a preview of what would be his second album: Super Discount, released in 1996, with Air, Alex Gopher and other French artists on Solid. Étienne de Crécy has been involved in various music projects where he worked as a producer.
