Tokujin’s “Mirage” comprises a series of different segments, each coated with a reflective surface.
Rotated a little to the right, or a little more to the left, the mirrors can be mounted alongside one another and as such capture far more light and create a wider range of spatial impressions than a simple, flush mirror ever could.
Chiesa San Paolo Converso, is a 16th-century former Baroque church ( deconsecrated after World War II ) and convent in Piazza Sant’Eufemia on Corso Italia, not far from Milan’s celebrated Duomo
The recently opened CLS factory space inside the Converso church, hosted the installation “It’s All About Meal” by Massimiliano Locatelli which explored the concept of a new conviviality in domestic spaces
No one had dared to build anything inside the church—until Locatelli secured the lease – and by December 2014 had created a metal cocoon for his architectural studio without ever touching a single church wall.
After welcoming over 350,000 visitors, Milan’s Salone del Mobile closed its doors on the 13th April, 2014
As preparations for next year’s Salone are undoubtedly already underway, the city braces for an even bigger event in 2015 that is anticipated to bring 20 million visitors to the design capital over the course of six months.
Expo Milano 2015, will take place from May 1 to October 31, 2015.
