Walt Disney + Cappellini @ DIFFA

Cappellini for Walt Disney Signature dining installation at DIFFA 2010.

Walt Disney and Cappellini both have a shared approach to design, creativity and collaboration that turns everyday products into works of art. A 3-dimensional sculpting of Mickey Mouse presided over the Walt Disney Signature and Cappellini dining installation at DIFFA 2010.

The Walt Disney Signature and Cappellini dining installation at the popular Dining By Design DIFFA (Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS) event in New York City.

The Mickey sculpture is made of polyurethane and is 10 feet tall from head to toe and weighs 86 lbs.

Walt Disney Signature’s table centerpiece was created by KRISLYN design studio of dried, twisted and sandblasted vine with hand lacquered oyster mushrooms and hand-dyed magnolia leaves. The leaves were stacked to create a mossy silhouette which delicately winds around the whole centerpiece for a whimsical look that complements Walt Disney Signature’s overall dining installation.
