From a stone to a simulated human heart, the Italian designer Andrea Branzi and Japanese designer Kenya Hara, trace the design history of tools from the stone age to today, in the Neo Pre History – 100 Verbs exhibition at the Triennale di Milano.

A journey inspired by the power of “100 verbs” and “100 instruments” which, like streams of mysterious, life-giving energy, guide the viewer through the dark clouds of history and of infinite space.

Architect Diébédo Francis Kéré, originally from Burkina Faso, was invited to transform Palazzo Litta’s inner courtyard into a neo-African village.

Inside the Palazzo, DAMN Magazine assembled a selection of architects, designers, and corporate partners, to express themselves under the theme : A Matter of Perception: Tradition and Technology – which is all about the origin of concepts; how materials affect and define an object or an idea, with the purpose of looking at things in everyday life in a different way.

The Japanese paper distributor TAKEO Co, Ltd, under the curatorship of Kenya Hara invited 15 creators including architects, illustrators, graphic designers and art directors to explore the material paper for their Annual paper show.

After two years of planning, and with art direction by Kenya Hara, the 47th edition focuses on the delicacy, resilience and important value of paper, with the intention to rethink and further broaden the possibilities for fine paper.
