Students from Monash University Art, Design and Architecture have transformed a selection of ten iconic Melbourne buildings into wearable art
Working in collaboration with the architects as well as artist Callum Morton, fashion designer Miriam Borcherdt and architect Cate Hall, the designs dissect the buildings’ language into human scale, exploring the way the tectonics react to human movement.

This time around, Dedece together with Vola, and Artichoke magazine organised an intimate dinner for Sue Carr – to celebrate the career of one of Australia’s most successful and prolific Interior Designers.
Sue was honoured for her significant contribution to the advancement of modernist Interior Design and her ongoing Architectural interactions in Australia.
World Monuments Fund ( WMF ) announced that it will award its 2014 World Monuments Fund / Knoll Modernism Prize to the Finnish Committee for the Restoration of Viipuri Library in Vyborg, Russia.

Sea Containers House has now become the location for the new 359-bed luxury hotel under Morgans Hotel Group’s Mondrian brand.
The buildings’ maritime history was used as the starting point of the interiors concept for the hotel, which “embodies the elegance of a transatlantic 1920s liner”

Vola’s consulting product designer, Danish Architect Torben Madsen, says new technology “should be incorporated subtly into bathroom design” in this movie produced by Dezeen for Danish brand Vola.
Madsen, who is design manager at Danish practice Aarhus Arkitekterne, which designs all of Vola’s new products, says the trend for open-plan living spaces has increased the significance of the bathroom as a private space.
