In early 2010, Magis moved its Headquarters to a new production site near the small village of Torre di Mosto, just an hour from Venice, coexisting with a well-kept agricultural landscape within the Veneto region of North Eastern Italy

Interni “Human Spaces” Exhibition @ Salone Milan 2019

Interni asked the architects and designers participating in this year’s edition of the event to translate the concept of ‘ Human Space’ into experimental installations, starting with the furnishings that surround us and extending to urban mobility.

From the natural environment to macro-system of production, such as the virtuous – and by now necessary – circular economy.

In collaboration with partner companies and institutions, over thirty installations have been created for the show, envisioning a future in which nature and the planet are protected, resources are saved and artificial intelligence is applied for the common good, promoting personal well being.

Chilean architecture studio Pezo von Ellrichshausen ( PvE ) created the pavilion within Milan’s baroque Palazzo Litta ( 1761 ) , described as a ‘ direct echo of its historical surroundings’.

The mirrored surface reflects the surrounding courtyard of the building in its two levels, the baroque colonnade, the corridor beyond, the two upper levels, as well as the stone pavement

During the Milan Furniture Fair, 2A+P/A architectural studio will present the exhibition “Drawings and Projects” in the historic Antonia Jannone architectural gallery.

A collection of projects, images, illustrations and photographs are brought together in the gallery’s spaces to portray the poetic research of the studio.

Conifera has been conceived in response to an open brief from COS, with the final structure a result of a parametric design process that has seen the installation evolve with each new technological and material innovation throughout its conception.

The piece vertically integrates design and construction, forming a direct connection from design to build through a dialogue with robotics: the architect is at once designer and maker.

The Coal Office – Tom Dixon’s new London HQ

Tom Dixon has relocated his head office, showroom and retail space from Ladbroke Grove ( West London ) further along the Regents Canal, to the new 1,600 sqm complex on Regent’s Canal and Granary Square, with the vision that it will become a creative hub for the broader design community.

A new elevated park, Bagley Walk, similar to the Highline in New York, runs along the front of the building connecting Granary Square and Gasholder Park.

Renamed from the ‘Brasserie at Publicis Drugstore’; a renowned Parisian hot spot for more than 60 years, the new restaurant is located on the ground floor of the Publicis shopping complex.
