In collaboration with Daikin, the air conditioner manufacturer, this project by Nendo, was based on the concept of ‘invisible air’ and aims to provide visitors with a unique spatial experience that offers an opportunity to ‘experience in sight what we can only feel in real life.’
This installation evoked the sensation of a comfortable breeze by the movement of light and shadows, not actual air.

Japanese designer Nendo, has set up his show at one of Brera’s most magical spaces, the Chiostri di San Simpliciano, staging a comic story starring chairs.
With this exhibition, Nendo abstracts archetypes of manga comics. the chairs are happy, distressed, embarrassed, surprised; they leap and bound, zoom past, or slowly slink away. each chair has its own personality, allowing it to stand on its own or, when placed next to the others, to become part of a collective narrative.
Nendo Works 2014-2015 presents a year’s worth of work by the studio’s founder Oki Sato, at Milan’s Museo della Permanente.
Nendo is exhibiting over 100 products designed over the past year for 19 brands as part of a solo exhibition in Milan, including previously unseen pieces.
It all started in December when Luca Nichetto and Oki Sato met in Stockholm for a coffee in Vetekatten, where they spoke about design and collaboration between designers of the past such as Ettore Sottsass with Shiro Kuramata.
